Since joining FR&R more than four decades ago, Bob, who served 10 years as the firm’s president, has developed extensive expertise in family succession planning. He routinely develops estate and income tax plans for a wide range of clients – including small to midsize manufactures, distributors and service organizations – to expertly guide family businesses and wealth to subsequent generations. In addition, he is an active member of client consulting teams where he employs his in-depth knowledge to help clients manage all facets – business, financial, family and tax – of the complexities of business succession. Bob earned his CPA certificate and obtained his Elijah Watt Sells Scholarship Gold Medal – awarded only to the top scoring student on each exam – from the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a frequent lecturer on tax law and has been listed by Money magazine as one of the nine best tax practitioners in the Chicago area.
